2026 Annual Student Exhibition

During spring '26, a group of dedicated students curated and constructed the annual student work exhibition. The photo essay that follows documents that work and its product, a modular framing project that displayed printed drawings from studios and a collection of models.

Students fabricated standardized display modules, subdividing 2x6" lumber into smaller units and constructing them as six L-shaped frames that integrated traditional wood jointer and hardware reinforcement. The modules were arranged in an irregular final configuration in the exhibition space.

The final installation showcased over 20 models and 40 projects from the previous academic years. The work ranged from drawings produced in the first-year foundations studios to models produced by B.Arch students for their thesis projects.

Horizontal stands built into each module served as an "open storage" for models, which were presented as a collection independent from the printed works suspended from cables at eye level.

The completed installation integrated lighting that illuminated drawings from above.
